Where It All Started
At LJ Building Co, we believe that understanding who we are and what we stand for is just as important as the homes we build.
Founded by brothers Luke and Jake, LJ Building Co began with a shared passion for building and a strong foundation in hands-on craftsmanship.
Both Luke and Jake started their careers as carpentry apprentices, learning the trade from the ground up. Over the years, they honed their skills working on high-end residential projects across the region, building a reputation for quality, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
What began as a carpentry subcontracting business under the name LJ Constructions evolved naturally as Luke became a registered builder with the Building and Plumbing Commission and so, LJ Building Co was born.
With deep roots in the Geelong and Surf Coast communities, we bring not only hands-on expertise but also a local’s insight into the land, lifestyle, and latest design trends.
Meet the Founders
Luke, a BPC-registered builder since the age of 28, combines technical skill with a genuine love for creating beautiful, functional homes. Outside of work, he enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife Ryleigh and son Archie, from traveling and fitness to exploring new destinations both near and far.
Jake shares that same passion for the outdoors and brings a calm, hands-on approach to every project. He balances his role at LJ Building Co with family life alongside his partner Bridgette and their twins, Parker and Esther. Whether it’s travel, fitness, or the occasional half marathon, Jake brings energy and dedication into everything he does.
