Founded by brothers Luke and Jake Ibbs, our business is built on a shared passion for bringing ideas to life. As fully qualified carpenters with over 25 years of combined experience, we have refined our craft working with premium metals, glass, and timber to deliver outstanding results.
Proudly based in Victoria, we bring an in-depth knowledge of the Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula areas, understanding the unique coastal conditions, lifestyle and architectural styles that make these regions special.

Mundy Street – Heritage Reimagined
Originally built in 1856, this miner’s cottage stood forgotten overgrown with vines, no flooring, and a crumbling frame. But where others saw a teardown, LJ Building Co saw a rare opportunity.
What was once a neglected shell has been transformed into a beautifully balanced blend of heritage charm and modern living. More than just a renovation, this was a collaborative reimagining — one that honoured the home’s past while delivering contemporary function, warmth, and ease.
Brownhill by LJ Building Co
Set within the breathtaking landscape of Wandana Heights, this architectural residence by LJ Building Co is a perfect synergy of design, terrain, and lifestyle. Purpose-built for a sloping block with over 4 meters of fall, the home embraces the natural topography, resulting in a residence that feels as though it has risen organically from the hillside.
Rather than resisting the land, the home works with it. By stepping the floorplan into two distinct quarters, LJ Building Co has created functional separation without sacrificing flow or connectivity.
Tucked away in one of Highton’s most established streets, this family home on Cara Road was full of charm — but in desperate need of attention. The original structure held solid bones, but decades of wear had left it tired and outdated.
Our brief? Restore and reimagine the home with a focus on comfort, practicality, and timeless style — all while respecting its original character.

This full-scale renovation and extension is a bold reimagining of a classic beach house, designed to better connect with the natural surrounds and take full advantage of its incredible ocean views.
